Rock Hill is the largest in city in York County, South Carolina. The area had been settled in the 1830s, but did not become an official town until the Charlotte and South Carolina Railroad Company built a railroad through the area. Many famous people have lived in Rock Hill, including NFL player Stephon Gilmore.
